A true and ancient spiritual force, Guadalupe, Partroness of Mexico and of the Americas, is besought to remedy all ills. With her dark complextion and compassion for the poor and humble and wearing the garb of the heavens, she was known to the Aztecians as Tonantzin, "Mother of the People, Our Mother," or Teotonantzin "Mother of the Gods."

This altar is made of salvaged wood from an old West Texas railroad bridge and lovingly trimmed with Yucca cactus spikes. The headplate is wood.
